<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The device has a flywheel (6) movably mounted with respect to a support (10), and two pallets (20) disposed on an upper edge of the support. Each pallet includes an arm (22) rigidly fixed to the support and a control part (24) movably mounted on the arms. Each control part has front and rear faces, where the front face extends in a vertical plane. The control part is formed by an electric switch so that controlling the switch modifies the gear ratio of a vehicle when fingers of a driver are applied on the front face of the part while holding the flywheel. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for controlling the change of a gear ratio of a vehicle (claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The arrangement of the pallets permits a driver to put his three fingers on the pallets even if his hands are large, thus actuating the pallet in a comfortable manner. The pallets are compact and require small space, thus easily integrating the pallets within a driver's cab. The device allows to change the speed ratio without the driver having to take away one of his hands from the fly-wheel. The utilization of the pallets does not disturb the arrangement of a speed ratio changing lever on a floor or on a dashboard of the vehicle. The shape of the pallets allows to optimize the position of the driver`s fingers on the pallets, thus offering better ergonomics. The arrangement of the device allows the driver to dispose the fingers on the plane of the front face in order to have a normal position of the hands of the driver when they are placed on the flywheel.
