The device (1) has a driving unit for driving a braking part activating unit. A crown (5) guides the driving unit and is integrated to structure of a vehicle. The driving unit has a ring (2) and a gripping unit (3), where the unit (3) extends perpendicular to the structure of the vehicle and displaces the driving unit guided by the crown in a plane parallel to the vehicle in order to actuate a braking unit. The crown is arranged around an actuating lever (9) e.g. gear shift lever, of a functional unit.
