<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for distributing a moving picture whereby a mobile phone can stably download moving picture data without being affected by a good or bad radio wave state. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for distributing the moving picture using the mobile phone 3, the mobile phone 3 utilizes a memory card 31 provided to the mobile phone 3 as a cache memory to download moving picture data and reproduces and displays the moving picture data. Further, the moving picture distribution method revises a compression rate of the moving picture data to be distributed to the mobile phone 3 depending on a good or bad reception state of the mobile phone 3.
