<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce arithmetic processing load by performing extraction processing based on a positional shift on a medium of a raster line, thereby reducing an operation for adding and deleting dummy data having a pixel number smaller than unit data. <P>SOLUTION: This method comprises printing a print image on a medium by forming a plurality of dot lines on the medium. Each dot line is formed by a plurality of dot forming operations based on raster data composed of a plurality of pixel data. In each dot forming operation, a part of dots constituting the dot line is formed based on predetermined pixel data extracted from the raster data. The raster data is composed of a plurality of unit data, and each of the unit data is composed of a predetermined number of pixel data. When the pixel data is extracted from the raster data, an extraction table for extracting predetermined pixel data from the unit data is used. When the position of the dot line on the medium is shifted by a shift quantity, the extraction table is changed based on the relation between the shift quantity and an amount corresponding to a predetermined pixel number. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
