PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle device which timely supplies a mist to a machining part of a workpiece in synchronization with the spindle rotation, and appropriately performs machining operation of the workpiece. SOLUTION: In the spindle device, a mist supply path 21a is provided in a pull rod 21 stored in the inner side of the spindle 13, and an opening/closing valve 31 is disposed at the downstream side of the mist supply path 21a. An elastically deformable valve element 31b is integrally formed on a main body 31a of the opening/closing valve 31. The valve element 31b is constituted so as to be released when the centrifugal force in rotating of the spindle 13 or the mist pressure in the supply path 21a becomes more than a predetermined pressure. When the spindle 13 is rotated, the valve element 31b of the opening/closing valve 31 simultaneously becomes in a valve opening state, the mist in the mist supply path 21a is supplied to the machining part of the workpiece from a mist supply path 16b of a tool holder 16 through a mist supply path formed in the central part of the tool, and lubrication and cooling are timely performed.
