Various embodiments for projection partioning and aligning are disclosed: a pattern is displayed on an active layer or the screen, said pattern having indinidual regions with different reflectivities, e.g., a checkerboard pattern; blocks of pixels are projected on the screen and said blocks are aligned with regions of the pattern.
