An electric current to flow through a transformer for outputting plural sets of three-phase currents to a multiplex rectifying circuit is easily brought close to a sinusoidal wave. Two diode bridges (31, 32) are provided at their output stages with choppers (41, 42), respectively, the output sides of which are connected in parallel with a smoothing capacitor (5). By controlling the actions of the two choppers (41, 42), the electric currents, which are allowed by the choppers (41, 42) to enter the diode bridges (31, 32), respectively, are changed into either triangular waves opposite in phase to each other or waveforms of intermediate phases of the three phases. |
