The outlet of each siphonic seal is implemented as an overflow adjusting the level of barrier fluid. Siphonic seals are connected via supply lines to a common reservoir from which the annular channels are continuously supplied with barrier fluid. The supply lines include means of individual adjustment and/or control of the volumetric flowrate of barrier fluid, which flows to each siphonic seal.
