CLUTCH COVER ASSEMBLY FOR COMPENSATING DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MAXIMUM LOAD AND MINIMUM LOAD OF DIAPHRAGM SPRING

A clutch cover assembly for compensating for the difference between the maximum load and the minimum load of a diaphragm spring is provided to compensate for a hump by using an absorption member provided between a clutch cover and the diaphragm spring. A clutch cover assembly of a clutch transfers a torque between a flywheel of an engine and an input shaft of a transmission. The clutch cover assembly includes an annular clutch cover(2), diaphragm springs(7a,7b), and an absorption member(10). The annular clutch cover is fixed to the flywheel. The diaphragm springs are disposed on the inner side of the annular clutch cover. The absorption member is disposed between the annular clutch cover and the diaphragm springs. The absorption member may be a rubber. An opening is formed in the annular clutch cover. The clutch cover assembly includes an absorption member position maintaining member engaged with the opening to maintain the position of the absorption member.
