<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily generate a development condition almost for a finish that a user desires. <P>SOLUTION: Development processing for raw image data is carried out under a plurality of development conditions and then a parameter index print is output. Once the customer selects a reference image of a desired finish from the parameter index print, development processing is carried out under a plurality of more detailed processing conditions than the processing conditions of the first time as to the same processing items as image processing items of the first development processing and then a parameter index print is output again. Once the customer selects a reference image of a desired finish again from the parameter index print, a parameter index print obtained by performing development processing under a plurality of processing conditions as to different image processing items is output.
