PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a longitudinal attitude of a vehicle body to a predetermined attitude by controlling damping characteristics of a front wheel side and a rear wheel side during the adjustment of vehicle height. SOLUTION: When the absolute value of the stroke from the starting time of the vehicle height adjustment at one side reaches the set stroke, and the absolute value of the stroke at the other side in the front wheel side and the rear wheel side, it can be recognized that the vehicle height changing speed is larger at one side. When the damping characteristics of the side of larger vehicle height changing speed is changed to a hard side, the damping characteristics of the side of smaller ones is changed to the soft side, the damping characteristics of the larger side is changed to the hard side and the damping characteristics of the smaller side is changed to the soft side, the difference of the vehicle height changing speeds between the front wheel side and the rear wheel side can be reduced, and the longitudinal inclination of the vehicle body can be reduced.
