PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a battery check with appropriate timing in a device which is provided with a battery as a power source and operates in a plurality of operation modes. SOLUTION: The electronic deice operates in a plurality of operation modes 42 performing predetermined operations by receiving power supply from the battery 10. A battery check section 32 integrates power consumed through operations on the basis of the operation modes 42 to determine integrating electric energy Wi. Each time the integrating electric energy Wi increases by predetermined threshold electric energy W<SB>T</SB>, the battery 10 state of discharge is detected to perform a battery check.
