PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor memory device in which width of a sensing amplifier region and a word line driver region is decreased, so that overall layout area is decreased. SOLUTION: A semiconductor memory device has a layout for minimizing area for a sensing amplifier region and a word line driver region. In the device, a decoding driver is disposed in the sensing amplifier region, and wiring for a signal transmitted from the decoding driver to a sub word line driver side is disposed on an adjacent sub array.
