PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device using a simple configuration, having an electrooptical panel to display images, and a touch panel to perform touch operations. SOLUTION: A Y-shift register 30 sequentially shifts the transfer start pulse DY, following the clock signal ClkC, and outputs signals Yt1, Yt2, ..., Yt160. The Y burst signal selector circuit 32 narrows the signals Yt1, Yt2, ..., Yt160 down to a pulse width of enable signal EnbY and supplies the narrowed burst signal 1 to the 1st, 2nd, ..., 160th transmitter transducers 34. The transfer start pulse DY and the clock signal ClkC are used also as the signals supplied to the Y register for sequentially selecting the scanning lines in the liquid crystal panel.
