PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic grain for deodorization in which reduction or saturation of a deodorizing action due to the storage of an odor component in the micropores of a porous body is prevented by efficiently decomposing the odor component absorbed in the micropores of ceramic particles being the porous body with the use of an oxidization catalyst to perform deodorization, a deodorization effect is immediately attained, and the effect is kept for a long term. SOLUTION: The ceramic grain 1 for deodorization has a substantially spherical shape with a diameter of 4 mm and includes the ceramic particles 10 obtained by compounding zeolite with clay at a required rate, mixing them, firing the mixture, and making it into particles. The ceramic particles 10 are the porous body having the continuous micropores on the surface. The fine particles of an Atomy ball (R) 11 being the oxidization catalyst are carried on the surface of the ceramic particles 10. An amount of the carried fine particles is about 10 wt.% with respect to the whole ceramic grain 1 for deodorization. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
