PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air disinfection device capable of detecting clogging of a water circulation channel, and a control method thereof. SOLUTION: The device has a bath temperature sensor for detecting the temperature inside an electrolytic bath. Whether the detected temperature exceeds threshold temperature (60°C) or not is determined (a step S3). If the detected temperature exceeds the threshold temperature, whether the difference between the detected temperature and the temperature previously detected when the operation of a circulation pump is started is within or out of the range of threshold temperature difference (10 degrees) is determined (a step S4). If the difference in temperature is the threshold temperature difference or larger, clogging of the water circulation channel is announced (a step S5).
