<p>The needle control arms, operated by control cams, are operatively connected pref. via pivoted, L-shaped rocker arms, to slides which are movable in one of two opposing directions, under the action of pairs of co-operating electromagnets, to take up one of two positions. In the first position the slides are disengaged from the rockers, which are spring biassed to push the needles into working positions, whilst in the second position the slides engage the rockers to move them against the spring biass and withdraw the needles.</p> |
