Treating oily residues from fermentations using paraffin substrates

Process for treating oily residues from the aerobic fermentation of petrol fractions, e.g. Diesel oils, by microorganisms, esp. yeasts, or similar paraffin-contng. products. The mixt. of microorganisms and oil, either a suspension or emulsion in the nutrient medium, is centrifuged at > 103 g, opt. at the same time raising the temp., and the products separated. Uses no surfactants and is more economical.
