APPARATUS FOR MEASURING BODY COMPOSITION

An apparatus (100)for measuring body composition having a first unit (110) on which a subject can ride and a second unit (120) which the subject can grip. The second unit (120) is provided with electrodes (133, 134, 143, 144) which are usable in measuring the body impedance of the subject. The first unit (110) has a holder section by which the second unit (120) can be held and a buffer section (118) made of a rubber material or an elastomer material which prevents the first unit (110) from contact with the above-described electrodes (133, 134, 143, 144) in the case where the second unit (120) is held by the holder section. Owing to this constitution, the surface of the electrodes for measuring body composition can be protected from scuff marks.
