<p>Provided is a method for preparing theanine, which shows a high reaction rate and high efficiency at room temperature under ambient pressure, and allows industrially favorable production of theanine. The method for preparing theanine comprises a step of reacting a compound represented by the following formula 3 with ethyl amine or aqueous ethyl amine solution. The compound represented by formula 3 includes 1-protecting group-2-pyrrolidone-5-carboxylic acid compound, wherein the protecting group is alkyl, benzyl, carbonyl, sulfonyl or sulfinyl group.</p> |
