<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of attaining both of the maintenance of high productivity and a shorter first print time. <P>SOLUTION: A sheet conveying velocity by a printer part 300 and a sheet conveying velocity by an intermediate unit 600 are decided in accordance with the number of sheets on a conveying path when one sheet passes through an image forming part. That is, in such the situation that another sheet does not lie on the conveying path when one sheet passes through the image forming part, the sheet conveying velocity by the printer part 300 (the rotating velocity of a motor for driving a roller positioned between an acceleration judging position and the entrance of the intermediate unit 600 is accelerated) and the sheet conveying velocity by the intermediate unit 600 are accelerated (YES at step S410 → step S411). On the other hand, in such the situation another sheet lies on the conveying path when one sheet passes through the image forming part, the sheet conveying velocity by the printer part 300 and that by the intermediate unit 600 are maintained (not accelerated) (NO at step S410). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
