<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an imaging apparatus capable of performing appropriate AF processing in multi-area AF, and program therefor. <P>SOLUTION: When an entire area metering system is selected under circumstances that a multi-area AF system is set and interlocking-on of a photometry system with AF processing is set (Y in 16), the AF processing is performed by setting the position of each AF area so that nine AF areas are scattered over an entire image picked up by a CCD 5. When a center-weighted metering system is selected (Y in 18), the AF processing is performed by limiting the number of the AF areas to four and also setting the positions of the four AF areas 23 to the vicinity of the center of the image of the image data picked up by the CCD 5. When a spot metering system is selected (N in 18), the AF processing is performed by limiting the number of the AF areas to one and also setting the position of the one AF area 23 to the center part of the image of the image data picked up by the CCD 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
