<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically perform decoding processing with optimum resolution by discriminating resolution of recorded video when a DVD or a HDD-DVD is reproduced. <P>SOLUTION: A moving image reproducing device has a disk drive part reading video information and management information included in the recording medium where the video information having a plurality of different resolutions and its management information are recorded, a decoding part decoding the video information read by the disk drive part, a digital/analog converter converting the video information decoded by the decoding part, a resolution discriminating part discriminating the resolution of the video information from the management information read by the disk drive part, and a sampling frequency modulating part setting a sampling frequency used by the decoding part and the digital/analog converter on the basis of the discriminated result of the resolution discriminating part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
