OPTICAL DEFLECTOR, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING OPTICAL DEFLECTOR, OPTICAL SCANNER AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical deflector used for a color image forming apparatus or the like, a method of manufacturing the optical deflector, an optical scanner and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: In the optical deflector, a rotor on which polygon mirror is fixed is supported by a bearing and rotationally driven with a motor. The polygon mirror is stacked in the rotational axis direction, the reflecting faces of the respective polygon mirror are fixed being dislocated by a predetermined angle in the rotational direction, and the effective regions of the reflecting faces of the stacked and integrated polygon mirror used for optical deflection is shifted in the rotational axis direction of the respective polygon mirror, and the stacked polygon mirror is accurately formed with the predetermined angle, thus the imbalance of the rotor occurring as time elapses due to the dislocation from the original fixed position of the polygon mirror caused by applied thermal stress or acceleration/deceleration given at start/stop actions and accompanying increase of rotational vibration are prevented.
