PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning mechanism capable of recovering cleaning ability of a cleaning member for cleaning a paper feed roller by simple operation. SOLUTION: A cleaning sponge 42 for cleaning an outer peripheral surface 5a is detachably stuck on a surface opposed to the outer peripheral surface 5a of the paper feed roller 5 on an opening/closing cover 41 by a double-sided adhesion tape. In such a state that the opening/closing cover 41 is turned/closed in an arrow C direction, the cleaning sponge 42 is slide-contacted with the outer peripheral surface of the paper feed roller 5 and a foreign matter or the like on the outer peripheral surface 5a is removed. Whereas, when the cleaning ability of the cleaning sponge 42 is lowered, the opening/closing cover 41 is turned in an arrow B direction to open it. Thereby, recovery work of the cleaning ability such as removal of the foreign matter or the like deposited on the cleaning sponge 42 and replacement of the cleaning sponge 42 to a new one can be easily performed.
