PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a sheet roll printer which can form a state in which a recording paper is automatically taken out passing a printing position in a state with no slacking and floating when an opening and closing lid is closed. SOLUTION: When the opening and closing lid 3 of the sheet roll printer 1 is closed, a state in which the recording paper 12a is held between a front side paper feeding roller 37 and a front side paper retaining roller 38, and between a rear side paper feeding roller 34 and a rear side paper retaining roller 35 at positions in a paper conveyance direction before and after a printing position (33a) is formed. A following-side gear 73 at the side of the opening and closing lid 3 slightly rotates when meshed with a driving-side gear 72 of a printer body 2 side. This rotation rotates the front side paper feeding roller 37 in the paper conveyance direction via transmission gears 74-77. The recording paper 12a is consequently sent out, so that slacking and floating of a part of the recording paper passing the printing position are automatically removed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
