PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposer having vibration rods, appropriately rotating a rotary part to break down garbage without making lump, shortening drying time of garbage and reducing the volume of garbage. SOLUTION: This energy saving type garbage disposer 10 is provided with: a base table 1; a rotary drum 2 with both ends rotatably pivoted to the base table 1, provided with a garbage charge port 3a or a discharge port 3b on one front face plate 3; the multiple vibration rods 4 provided at the other end face of the rotary drum 2 and breaking down garbage by vibration to prevent lumping of garbage; multiple separating plates 5 provided on the inner peripheral face of the rotary drum 2 and separating garbage; a hot air fan 6 provided on the face plate 3 and drying garbage; and a drive means 7 rotating the rotary drum 2.
