PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic propulsion type endoscope device equipped with an improved fixing system. SOLUTION: The endoscope device is suitable for substantially autonomously moving by looper movement inside the body cavity in a predetermined advancing direction. The endoscope device includes a variable length tubular body 1 extending between two end parts of a front end part 2 and a rear end part 3, and includes a fixing means 4 for temporarily alternately fixing the front end part 2 and the rear end part 3 to the body cavity wall by synchronizing with contraction and expansion in the axial direction corresponding to the tubular body 1 generated as the result of injection of compressed air to the tubular body and generation of vacuum in the tubular body. The air pressure actuator 5 of the movable jaw 4b of the fixing means 4 sliding along a multichannel support body 7 in the axial direction is arranged. In the multichannel support body 7, at least one suction hole 10 for generating vacuum suitable for pulling the tissue around the body cavity into the fixing means 4 is formed.
