PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher whose washing power is improved to eliminate a missed part in washing regardless of the arrangement positions of dishes, and with which the amount of water to be used for washing can be reduced. SOLUTION: The dishwasher includes a washing tub 6 for storing the dishes; a washing pump 9 for sucking the water 4 stored in the washing tub 6 in accordance with the number of rotation so as to perform pressurization; a washing nozzle 10 arranged inside the washing tub 6 and rotated while spraying the water 4 in accordance with the pressurization from the washing pump 9; and a control part 12 for controlling the number of rotations of the washing pump 9. When the washing nozzle 10 is rotated to a prescribed position, the control part 12 makes the number of rotations of the washing pump 9 high for a period of prescribed time.
