PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patient transportation device from which contaminated air never flows out even when the airframe of an aircraft is damaged and rapid change in pressure occurs in the airframe while the aircraft flies at high altitude. SOLUTION: The patient transportation device 2 has: a bed part 3 on which a patient 1 lies; a capsule part 4 which covers the bed part 3; and a patient housing space 5 formed of the bed part 3 and the capsule part 4. The patient transportation device 2 is provided with a space expansion unit 7 which increases the volume of the patient housing space 5 by being communicated with the patient housing space 5 when the outside pressure of the patient housing space 5 becomes lower than the inner pressure thereof.
