PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the disadvantages of a stone pot for an electromagnetic cooker, which causes a crack in an uprising portion on the periphery of the stone pot when the stone pot is repeatedly used. SOLUTION: The stone pot for an electromagnetic cooker having a carbon plate fastened to the bottom expands when heated. The rising portion on the periphery, however, is not heated. Consequently the force of the expanded pot bottom to spread the rising portion causes a crack. To prevent the crack, a groove is provided between the bottom and the unheated peripheral uprising portion to prevent the force of the thermal expansion of the pot bottom from being applied to the periphery. The groove is filled with a silicon resin or the like which keeps elasticity even after the silicon resin is cured, and bonded with the periphery. Since the expansion of the pot bottom is absorbed by the filler in the groove and the force of spreading out the uprising portion from the pot bottom ceases to work, the crack can be prevented.
