This multiple clutch assembly comprises two friction linings, two support-plate halves, two pressure plates, a flywheel and damping means. These damping means comprise two guide washers, a number of springs positioned between these two guide washers, a damping web positioned between these two guide washers and collaborating with the said springs, and friction means inserted between the guide washers and the web. The springs are offset at least almost completely radially outside of the tracks along which the friction linings rub against their respective support-plate halves.
