AN UPPER PLATE OF PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL AND A METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING IT

An upper plate of a plasma display panel and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce power consumption by improving an emission coefficient of secondary electrons to ions. An upper plate(270) of a plasma display panel is characterized in that a pair of tips(275') are formed on an upper dielectric(275) contacting a discharge space. The pair of tips is formed at both sides of a discharge gap within one discharge cell. The pair of tips is formed at positions corresponding to internal ends of opposite transparent electrodes. The pair of tips is formed with a type of lines. The pair of tips formed with the type of lines has a width of 10 to 40 micrometers.
