1,230,886. Photographic apparatus. POLAROID CORP. Feb. 3, 1969 [Feb. 1, 1968; Aug.15, 1968; Dec.23, 1968], No.5727/69. Heading G2A. A film cassette includes a plurality of discrete separately movable film units stacked in alignment behind a light transmitting portion 42 of the front wall of the cassette, and a substantially flat selfcontained source of electrical energy 60 positioned behind the film units adjacent the rear wall 88 of the cassette. The film units consist of donor sheets 104 and receptor sheets 106 and are separated from primary battery 60 by a cover sheet 110. The battery consists of three dry LeclanchÚ cells connected in series and two output terminals are located outside of the cassette for engagement with corresponding terminal connections mounted upon a camera. The battery is such as to be capable of energizing the electrically powered components within the camera, e.g. flash unit, exposure control, and processing apparatus, for a number of frames corresponding to the number of separate film units within the cassette. Alternatively, the battery may recharge, upon insertion of a cassette into a camera, a secondary cell provided in the body of the camera, the charging current being through a unidirectionally conductive element, and the secondary cell then providing the required energy. |
