PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device using a nonvolatile memory with a data remained even when an electric power source is interrupted as a cache, and a control method therefor.

SOLUTION: This storage device is provided with a main recording medium, the nonvolatile memory used as the cache of the main recording medium, and including a fixed area and a nonfixed area according to fixation of the data, and a block control part for controlling a physical block allocated to the nonvolatile memory, by a virtual address.
