<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drainage system capable of being easily installed in an existing building, avoiding suspension of operation of a facility causing drain water during its use. <P>SOLUTION: The drainage system comprises a drainage tank unit 30 equipped with a first drainage tank 32 for receiving drain water from the facility causing drain water and a second drainage tank 33 for receiving drain water overflowing from the first drainage tank 32. The first and second drainage tanks 32 and 33 are provided with first and second drainage pumps 36 and 37.
