PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for simply and automatically transferring image data associated with audio data so as to relieve a data transfer job load when the audio data are transferred to a recording and reproducing device for reproducing audio and video.

SOLUTION: In a data transfer-reproduction system comprising a data transfer device which transfers audio data and image data associated with the audio data and a reproducing device for receiving transfer of audio data and image data associated with the audio data and reproducing the audio data and reproducing the image data, the data transfer device includes: an image data extract means for extracting image data associated with the audio data when transferring the audio data to the reproducing device; a control means for associating the audio data with the image data detected by the image data extract means; and a transfer means for transferring both the audio data and the image data associated with the audio data, and the reproducing device includes a reproduction control means for reproducing the audio data and the image data associated with the audio data.
