PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intrahepatic gluconeogenesis inhibitor that has the effect to inhibit the gluconeogenesis from substances other than glycogen, and food and food formulation ingredients including the same.

SOLUTION: This intrahepatic gluconeogenesis inhibitor includes mangeferin as a main component to inhibit the gene expression of the rate determining enzymes functioning at many rate determination steps when the gluconeogenesis is carried out in the liver.
