<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treatment apparatus which quickly and accurately carries out the measurement and the evaluation after a roughing treatment for an outer surface of a workpiece to be formed on a developing sleeve so as to prevent irregular developing. <P>SOLUTION: In the surface treatment apparatus, the roughing treatment for the outer surfaces of workpieces 2 retained in a storage bath 9 is carried out by making magnetic abrasive grains 65 stored in the storage bath 9 together with the workpieces 2 collide with the outer surfaces of the workpieces 2 by moving an electromagnetic coil 8, into which electric power is supplied via an inverter 49, by means of an electromagnetic coil moving portion 5. The workpieces 2 after the completion of the roughing treatment are taken out from the storage bath 9 and carried to a measurement position by means of a moving holder portion 6 in the held state by a hollow holding member 32. The undulation of the outer surfaces of the workpieces 2 carried to the measurement position are measured by means of a laser length measuring machine 80 while being turned by means of a rotary motor 33. The measured results are analyzed by the Fourier analysis in a control unit 76, and the quality of the surfaces of the workpieces is judged according to the calculated frequency spectrum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
