PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular window glass capable of saving a manufacturing cost, and reducing scorching feeling given to the skin of a vehicle occupant; and a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: While a glass plate 1 is held by a glass plate holding member 4 in a vertical direction, infrared cutting liquid 3 is injected to an upper part 1b of the glass plate 1 by using a nozzle 2. The infrared cutting liquid 3 injected to the upper part 1b of the glass plate 1 flows downward in the vertical direction to be applied on the glass plate 1. After it is dried by room temperature for about 5 minutes, the glass plate 1 on which the infrared cutting liquid 2 is applied is thrown into an oven of a temperature raised to 200°C in advance and heated for 10 minutes, and then cooled to obtain the glass plate 1 having an infrared cutting film. The obtained glass plate 1 having the infrared cutting film is attached to a vehicle 5 so as to make an upper part 1c of the glass plate 1 position at an upper side of the vehicle 5 and make the upper part 1b of the glass plate 1 position at a lower side of the vehicle 5.
