PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved apparatus and a method for retransmitting a last packet when the last packet has not been correctly received when channels are allocated based on busy signals, and an improved apparatus and method for reception. SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises a receiver (110) for receiving a sequence of packets (P1, P2 and P3) and checking whether the packets (P1, P2 and P3) have been successfully received, and a busy signal transmitter (120) for transmitting busy signals (BS1, BS2 and BS3) for operating to transmit the busy signal (BS1, BS2 and BS3) when the packet (P1, P2) has been successfully received and the packet has a first position in the packet sequence and when the packet (P3) has not been successfully received and the packet has a second position different from the first position in the packet sequence.
