摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of liquid crystal display device capable of quickly and stably aligning liquid crystal molecules in a liquid crystal layer from a spray state to a bend state, even without applying high voltage, and to provide a liquid crystal display device obtained by the manufacturing method. SOLUTION: Alignment film surfaces of a substrate 3 and a substrate 4 are subjected to rubbing uniformly over the whole surfaces in a first direction. Subsequently, the surface of the substrate 4 is subjected to rubbing in the direction (a second direction) of three o'clock to nine o'clock, with respect to the direction right in front of a panel by using a rubbing roller corresponding to the space and the pitch between pixels. The rubbing roller 51 is formed in a large number of level differences on a circumference of a metal roller base 52 with a prescribed pitch, and thereafter, rubbing fibers 53 are subjected to electrostatic flocking, as rubbing fibers (group).
