PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bright projected video while reducing aberration, miniaturizing a condensing lens and miniaturizing a projector as a whole by making an emission diaphragm very close to a point light source. SOLUTION: The projector 1 includes: the point light source 20 equipped with a fluorescence emitting body 9 arranged on the end face 4b of an optical fiber 4 for propagating exciting light L and excited by the exciting light L to emit fluorescence L<SB>1</SB>; a condensing optical system 10 for condensing the fluorescence L<SB>1</SB>emitted from the point light source 20; a reflection type display element 11 for reflecting the fluorescence L<SB>1</SB>condensed by the condensing optical system 10 and superposing a video signal thereon; and the emission diaphragm 12 for converging the fluorescence L<SB>2</SB>on which the video signal is superposed by the reflection type display element 11.
