PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an onboard reproduction system that can reproduce audio data from external media although a reproducing device for a vehicle is equipped with an encoding means adaptive to external media. SOLUTION: The onboard reproduction system 1 is provided with a an external medium 3 stored with audio data encoded in predetermined encoding format and a decoding means of decoding the audio data encoded in the encoding format, a USB terminal 7 which is electrically connected to external medium 3 once the external medium 3 is inserted, and the reproducing device 2 for vehicle equipped with a control unit 4. The control unit 4 is equipped with a CPU 4a and a RAM 4c, and the CPU 4a reads the encoded audio data and decoding means out of the external medium 3 connected to the USB terminal 7, expands the decoding means in the RAM 4c, and executes the decoding means to decode and reproduce the audio data.
