PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a karaoke system or the like, in which recognition of a maker name and a model name of a karaoke device for enhancing a function by a set top box, and their registration to the set top box are automated. SOLUTION: A control section 112 of the set top box 10 acquires an image data of a feature part of the karaoke device 20 which is imaged by a camera 156 of a remote control terminal 15, and prescribes a model data which is coincident with the acquired image data by referring to the model data (an image for identifying) stored by a hard disk drive (HDD) 116, and determines any one of the model of the karaoke devices which is related to the prescribed model data, as the model of the karaoke device 20. Moreover, the control section 112 performs controlling of storing/reading of the model of the karaoke device 20 in/out the HDD 116. Namely, the maker name and the model name of the karaoke device 20 are prescribed with image recognition, and the prescribed maker name and the model name are registered in the set top box 10.
