PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical digital interface capable of minimizing field construction and optimizing a cable length by using a convenient optical connector fitting operation standardized in an optical cable for communication. SOLUTION: The optical digital interface connects a transmission side interface unit 1 to a reception side interface unit 11 by using an optical cable. The transmission side interface unit 1 comprises: a DVI connector 2; and an MPO adaptor 10 which detachably connects an optical connector fixed on one end of the optical cable 9. The transmission side interface unit 1 has therein a driver interface integrated circuit 3, several pieces of surface light emission lasers 4 and a plurality of optical fibers 7. The reception side interface 11 has a photo diode in place of the light emission diode.
