PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a striking tool which effectively absorbs oscillation caused by driving a beater. SOLUTION: A counter unit 53 is disposed inside a sub cylinder 32B. A counterweight 50 is slidably disposed inside the sub cylinder 32B in the fore-and-aft direction. The second spring 51 is provided forward of the counterweight 50 between the counterweight 50 and a damping housing 32. A sub piston 52 is slidably disposed rearward of the counterweight 50 inside the sub cylinder 32B in the fore-and-aft direction to define an air chamber 55 together with the counterweight 50. The rear end portion 52A of the sub piston 52 projects from the sub cylinder 32B to be positioned inside a movement conversion housing 31. The sub piston 52 is structured so as to be usually biased on the rear end side by a bias force of the second spring 51, the counterweight 50, and air inside the air chamber 55 so as to be abutted on a cum 54.
