PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet type vacuum cleaner which is miniaturized and can ensure operation time as well as perform a wash-finishing. SOLUTION: This wet type electric vacuum cleaner is equipped with a washing liquid jetting nozzle 51, a function nozzle 11, a suction hose 12, a gas-water separator 13, an electric fan 15, a dirty water tank 14, a dirty water jetting nozzle 51, a suction force detecting means, a liquid feeding pump 53, a jetting amount controlling means, and a jetting liquid switching means 55. In this case, the washing liquid jetting nozzle 51 jets a washing liquid W. The suction nozzle 11 sucks water or the like. The suction hose 12 conducts a mixed stream A which has been sucked in from the suction nozzle 11. The gas-water separator 13 separates the mixed stream A into contamination or the like. The electric fan 15 sucks in/discharges air C' which has been separated from the mixed stream A by the gas-water separator 13. The dirty water tank 14 stores dirty water B which has been separated from the mixed stream A by the gas-water separator 13. The dirty water jetting nozzle 51 jets the dirty water B which has been stored in the dirty water tank 14. The suction force detecting means detects the suction force of the air C' which has been sucked in from the suction nozzle 11. The liquid feeding pump 53 which jets the washing liquid W or the dirty water B. The jetting amount controlling means controls the jetting amount of the washing liquid W or the dirty water B which is jetted from the liquid feeding pump 53. The jetting liquid switching means 55 switches the jetting of the washing liquid W from the washing liquid jetting nozzle 51 and the jetting of the dirty water B from the dirty water jetting nozzle 51.
