A plasma display panel is provided to reduce power consumption and increase luminous efficiency by installing first and second discharge electrodes of long-gap opposite discharge structure. First barrier ribs(281) are interposed between first and second substrates(210,220) to define plural discharge cells(230). First discharge electrodes(260) and second discharge electrodes(270) are disposed opposite to each other in the first barrier ribs. A thickness of a portion of the first discharge electrode corresponding to a center of the discharge cells is thicker than that of a portion of the first discharge electrode corresponding to an edge of the discharge cells. A thickness of a portion of the second discharge electrode corresponding to the center of the discharge cells is thicker than that of a portion of the first discharge electrode corresponding to the edge of the discharge cells.
