<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly disperse conveyed developer at least at an opposed part to an image carrier, with respect to a developing conveying device which conveys the electrified developer by traveling-wave electric field, and an image forming apparatus equipped with the developer conveying device. <P>SOLUTION: AC voltage (voltage V<SB>t</SB>and frequency f<SB>t</SB>) whose phase is shifted by 90° is applied through AC power sources 24, 25, 26 and 27 to linear electrodes 13 provided at equal intervals on a conveying plate 11 in a conveying part, and AC voltage (voltage V<SB>d</SB>and frequency f<SB>d</SB>) whose phase is shifted by 90° is applied through AC power sources 34, 35, 36 and 37 to the linear electrodes 13 in a developing part, respectively. By setting the frequency f<SB>d</SB>in the developing part to frequency too high for toner to follow up or setting the voltage V<SB>d</SB>in the developing part lower than the voltage V<SB>t</SB>in the conveying part, toner conveying speed does not synchronize with the speed of the traveling-wave electric field in the developing part, so that the toner is uniformly supplied to a photoreceptor drum 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
